Concedido pelo The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, em parceria com o The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, o GOOD DESIGN foi fundado em 1950, em Chicago, por Eero Saarinen e Charles e Ray Eames, e permanece como um dos selos mais respeitados do design mundial.

The LACE collection, represented by its armchair version, has been honored with the 2025 GOOD DESIGN Award, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious distinctions dedicated to excellence in design.

Presented by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in partnership with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the GOOD DESIGN Award was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames. Today, it remains one of the most respected seals of quality in global design.

Na 75ª edição do prêmio, realizada em 2025, o júri avaliou um número recorde de inscrições provenientes de mais de 55 países, selecionando mais de 1.100 projetos entre produtos e gráficos que se destacaram por excelência em design, sustentabilidade, função e inovação, abrangendo criações que vão “da colher à cidade”.

In its 75th edition, held in 2025, the award received a record number of submissions from more than 55 countries. Over 1,100 projects spanning product and graphic design were selected for their excellence in design, sustainability, function, and innovation, encompassing creations that range from the spoon to the city.

LACE se destacou por sua abordagem conceitual e estética singular. A coleção nasceu da abstração de formas, explorando o diálogo entre cheios e vazios para criar uma estrutura que envolve o corpo como um tecido e um ornamento arquitetônico que acolhe. Seu desenho combina imponência e leveza, resultando em uma presença marcante, porém sutil.

LACE stood out for its distinctive conceptual and aesthetic approach. The collection was born from the abstraction of form, exploring the interplay between solids and voids to create a structure that envelops the body like a fabric and acts as an architectural ornament designed to welcome and support. Its design balances presence and lightness, resulting in a piece that is both striking and refined.

O jogo de transições entre planos verticais e horizontais forma uma trama orgânica que permite à luz atravessar a peça, revelando diferentes perspectivas a cada ângulo. A estrutura, composta por pequenos elementos justapostos, remete a uma malha arquitetônica ao mesmo tempo rígida e fluida, equilibrando precisão geométrica e expressão poética.

The interplay between vertical and horizontal planes forms an organic lattice that allows light to pass through the piece, revealing new perspectives from every angle. Composed of small juxtaposed elements, the structure evokes an architectural mesh that is both rigid and fluid, combining geometric precision with poetic expression.
