O designer Jader Almeida acaba de receber o Good Design Award 2022, um prêmio internacional, por quatro de suas criações mais recentes: a poltrona DUNNE, a mesa de centro LEAF, a mesa de jantar BALLET e o buffet LONDON. O Good Design, promovido pelo The Chicago Athenaeum Museum, premiou em edições anteriores as icônicas cadeiras ELLA, BELL, MIA, CLAD e EASY, as mesas de jantar LEGG e ARIS, a poltrona CELINE além do cabideiro LOOSE.

The designer Jader Almeida has just received the Good Design Award 2022, an international award, for one of his most recent creations, by four of his most recent creations: the DUNNE armchair, the LEAF coffee table, the BALLET dining table and the LONDON buffet.. The Good Design, promoted by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum, has awarded in previous editions the iconic chairs ELLA, BELL, MIA, CLAD and EASY, the LEGG and ARIS dining tables, the CELINE armchair, and the LOOSE coat rack.

A poltrona Dunne possui forma orgânica, instigante e sensual, bem como generosas proporções e conforto, que proporcionam inúmeras interpretação de usos e se relaciona com a arquitetura e com os objetos do cotidiano.

The Dunne armchair has an organic, instigating, and sensual form, as well as generous proportions and comfort, that provides countless interpretations of uses and relates to architecture and everyday objects.

A Mesa de jantar Ballet, com recortes geométricos ornamentados com filetes de latão, mármore do tampo possui recortes, e sempre possui bordas levemente abauladas. Os pés são assimétricos e criam uma configuração ao mesmo tempo instigante e harmônica. O material cria uma identidade etérea, que aliado à eximia técnica de execução torna o objeto atraente.

The Ballet dining table, with geometric cutouts adorned with brass fillets, the top’s marble has cutouts, and it always has slightly curved edges. The feet are asymmetrical and create a configuration that is both instigating and harmonious. The material creates an ethereal identity, which allied to the exquisite execution technique makes the object attractive.

A investigação do duo forma e função dos objetos de apoio e organização, resulta no produto deste exercício: London; o nome escolhido faz alusão ao dinamismo cosmopolita e o tradicional. O tradicional está caracterizado nas esteiras que compõe o fechamento ou abertura do corpo das peças. já a exploração da geometria, a combinação de materiais e resultado de uso conduzem a interpretação do dinamismo.

The investigation of the duo form and function of the objects of support and organization, results in the product of this exercise: London; the name chosen alludes to the cosmopolitan dynamism and the traditional. The traditional is characterized in the mats that make up the closing or opening of the body of the pieces. The exploration of geometry, the combination of materials and results of use lead to the interpretation of dynamism.
